Cookie Policy
Last updated October 10, 2026 · Effective October 10, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies, browser storage and similar technologies Addresswell, LLC uses on www.addresswell.co, why we use them, and how you can control them. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels or third-party analytics networks.
1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage are similar browser features that keep information on your device. Some are set by the site you visit (first-party) and some by other companies whose features appear on the page (third-party). Some last only until you close your browser (session) and others remain until they expire or you delete them (persistent).
2. Strictly necessary
These are required for the Services to work and cannot be turned off in our settings. Without them you cannot sign in or use secure features.
- Sign-in session cookies set by our authentication system, which keep you signed in and protect your account (they last up to seven days and are renewed while you use the Services).
- Short-lived security cookies used during Google sign-in and Google sign-up to protect the request and carry your sign-up form to Google’s return step (they expire within 30 minutes and are removed when the step completes).
- An access cookie on pre-release test sites, used only to admit approved testers.
- Cloudflare security and bot-check technologies (including Turnstile on the sign-up page), which may set cookies such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance to help distinguish people from automated traffic and protect against attacks.
- Session storage that our page framework uses during a visit to restore your scroll position and keep navigation working, and to carry a guided-tour step or a property you asked to save before signing in from one page to the next (the pending save expires after 30 minutes; session storage is cleared when you close the tab).
3. Preferences
These remember choices you make so the Services work the way you set them. They are stored in your browser’s local storage, and the homepage area is also kept in a first-party cookie so the homepage can open on that area directly (it lasts up to one year, and choosing the approximate location removes it):
- the market or area you chose for the homepage;
- your optional-measurement preference; and
- progress through the guided workspace tour.
4. First-party measurement
Unless you turn it off, the Services measure how listings are used, such as when a listing appears in results and is opened, photo and gallery views, sections opened, document clicks, scrolling, saves, shares, contact clicks and approximate time on a listing page, and views and clicks of sponsored professional profiles in the agent directory. These measurements do not identify you. Listing measurements are sent without a stored identifier; time on a listing is grouped with a random code made for each visit. To count each visitor once a day for sponsored profiles in the agent directory, we keep a random value in your browser’s local storage that is replaced every day (for signed-in visitors we use a one-way code of the account instead). These measurements are collected and kept by Addresswell, are used to show professionals aggregated listing reports and to improve the Services, and are not used for advertising or shared with advertising networks.
You can turn optional measurement off in this browser on Your Privacy Choices (/legal/choices). If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, optional measurement is off automatically. Records needed to deliver something you asked for, such as an inquiry or a saved property, are not affected.
5. Features provided by other companies
Some features are provided by other companies, which may set their own cookies or collect information such as your IP address and device details when you use them, under their own privacy policies:
- Stripe, when you open checkout or the billing portal to pay or manage a subscription.
- Google, if you choose to sign in or sign up with Google.
- Mapbox, which serves the maps, map search and travel-time lookups. Whenever a map loads, Mapbox’s software keeps an anonymous identifier in your browser’s local storage (replaced every 24 hours) and sends Mapbox map-load events, which Mapbox uses to count and bill map use; this happens even when optional measurement is off. We have turned off Mapbox’s optional performance measurements.
- Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the Services and processes requests on our behalf.
- Video and virtual-tour providers (such as YouTube, Vimeo, Matterport or Kuula), whose players appear on a listing only when the listing team adds one and load when you open them.
6. No advertising or cross-site tracking
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, social media tracking pixels, data brokers or cross-site tracking technologies, and we do not sell or share information collected through cookies for advertising. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and provide the choices the law requires before doing so.
7. How to control cookies and storage
- Use Your Privacy Choices (/legal/choices) to turn optional measurement on or off in this browser.
- Turn on Global Privacy Control in a browser or extension that supports it.
- Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and site data. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and some features from working. Deleting site data also resets your preferences.
- Private or incognito browsing windows usually delete cookies and storage when closed.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the technologies we use. The “Last updated” date shows when it last changed.
