Refunds, Cancellation & Auto-Renewal Policy
Last updated October 10, 2026 · Effective October 10, 2026
This policy explains how paid plans renew and how to cancel them, how plan changes are billed, and when fees paid to Addresswell, LLC can be refunded. Buyer/seller accounts are free. Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under law that cannot be waived.
1. Automatic renewal
Paid plans are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically. When you start a subscription you agree that, until you cancel, your payment method will be charged the plan’s monthly price, plus any applicable taxes, at the start of each billing period. Before you buy, checkout shows the plan, its price, the billing frequency, any free trial and when your first charge will occur. Stripe emails a receipt for each charge, and your current plan, next billing date and invoices are always available under Plan & billing and in the billing portal.
2. Launch offer
At launch, agents who start any plan before the launch offer ends pay nothing until the end date shown at checkout (11:59 PM Central Time on that date), once per business. A payment method is required. If you do not cancel before that date, your subscription converts to a paid subscription and you are charged the plan price on that date and monthly after that. Where email delivery is available, we send a reminder before it ends. Cancelling before the end date prevents any charge. Changing plans during the launch offer keeps the free period until its end date. After the launch offer ends, plans are paid from the first day, with no free trial.
3. How to cancel
- Online: open Plan & billing in your workspace and choose Cancel plan, or use the billing portal, at any time. We may ask why you are cancelling; answering is optional.
- By email: write to billing@addresswell.co from the account owner’s email address. We will confirm the cancellation in writing.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep your plan’s features until then and will not be charged again. You can undo a cancellation before the period ends with Keep my plan. When the period ends, your workspace, listings and records are kept, listings leave public search, and you can start a new plan at any time.
4. Plan changes
- Upgrades take effect immediately. You are charged the prorated difference between the plans for the rest of the current billing period, and the new price applies from the next renewal. If the payment fails, the upgrade does not take effect.
- Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period. Listings already published stay published, but you can publish another only while you are within the new plan’s allowance, and we may pause listings, members or promotions above it if the overage continues.
- A scheduled downgrade can be cancelled before it takes effect with Keep current plan.
5. Extra listing slots
Extra listing slots. Owners on an active paid plan may add published listing slots for $10 per slot per month plus applicable tax. Extra slots are part of your monthly subscription and renew automatically with it, on the same date and payment method, until you remove them or cancel; they are not a separate plan. They can’t be added during a free trial, while a payment is past due, or while a plan change is scheduled. When you add slots, we charge a prorated amount for the rest of the current billing period right away. When you remove slots, they stay available until the end of the period you have paid for, and your next renewal is billed for the lower number; removing slots does not give a refund or credit. You can remove only slots that aren’t in use. A slot is in use while a listing is active, coming soon or under contract after approval; drafts, listings in review, and sold, rented, leased, withdrawn, expired and off-market listings don’t use one. Slots you removed can be added back at no charge before the period ends. Extra slots continue through a plan change and end when your plan ends.
6. Refunds
Subscription fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods, unused listing slots or seats, and periods in which you did not use the Services, except:
- when you were charged in error, charged twice, or charged after a cancellation that took effect;
- when a paid service was not delivered because of a fault on our side that we cannot restore or re-credit; or
- when a refund is required by law.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Depending on your bank, they may take 5 to 10 business days to appear. Where a problem affected only part of a service, we may instead give a prorated credit or restore the service.
7. Featured boosts
Featured boosts are one-time purchases for a set term. They do not renew automatically, and they are non-refundable once purchased, including for time that runs while a listing is not public or after it sells, except in the cases listed above. You can move the rest of a term to another of your published listings instead. A plan’s included featured boost is one per workspace and has no cash value. Featured boosts end when a workspace is closed, except where the law requires otherwise.
8. ZIP code profile boosts
A ZIP code profile boost is a one-time purchase of a placement of at least 14 days that ends at 9:00 AM Central Time. If payment is not completed while your spot is held, no boost starts and nothing is charged. Once a boost starts it cannot be paused, moved or refunded, except in the cases listed above. If a payment arrives after a spot has been released and no spot is available, the payment is reviewed and refunded.
9. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may retry it, and we will ask you to update your payment method. While a payment is past due, we may pause publishing, promotions and other paid features. If payment is not completed, the subscription may end, with the same effect as a cancellation.
10. Suspensions and bans
If Addresswell suspends or permanently bans an account, we email the address on the account and cancel the subscription of each workspace it owns, including extra listing slots, effective at the end of the current billing period, so no later renewal or add-on is charged. Featured boosts and ZIP boosts end. Fees already paid, including the rest of the current billing period, unused listing slots and boost time, are not refunded, except as the law requires. If an account is reinstated, its plan does not restart automatically; the owner can choose a plan again.
11. Price changes
We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price increase applies to your subscription. If you do not want to continue at the new price, cancel before it takes effect.
12. Billing questions and disputes
If you think a charge is wrong, contact billing@addresswell.co within 60 days of the charge with the invoice or receipt details. We will review it and respond promptly. Please contact us before disputing a valid charge with your bank; chargebacks for charges that were authorized and delivered may lead to suspension of paid features. Disputes with your card issuer follow the card network’s rules.
13. Taxes
Prices do not include taxes unless stated. Where we are required to collect sales, use or similar taxes, they are added at checkout and shown on your receipt.
14. State automatic renewal and consumer laws
Some states require specific disclosures and cancellation methods for automatically renewing subscriptions. We provide online cancellation and the disclosures described above, and we will honor any additional right your state’s law gives you.
