Addresswell, LLC
Privacy Policy
Last updated October 10, 2026 · Effective October 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Addresswell, LLC collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you use www.addresswell.co and our related services, and the choices and rights you have. We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.
1. The short version
Addresswell does not sell your personal information, does not share it with other companies for their advertising or marketing, and does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics on our site.
Your information is kept in Addresswell’s own accounts with Cloudflare, the company that runs our servers, databases and file storage, protected by encryption and access limited to the people who need it. Other companies receive information only to run part of the Services for us, only what that job needs, and under contracts or terms that limit how they can use it:
- Stripe processes payments. Your card and bank details are entered on Stripe’s pages and stored by Stripe, never by Addresswell.
- Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Resend delivers the emails we send.
- Mapbox provides the maps.
- Cloudflare hosts the Services and checks sign-ups for bots.
We also share information when you ask us to (for example, an inquiry goes to the listing team you contact), when the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety. The details are below.
2. Who we are and what this policy covers
Addresswell, LLC (“Addresswell,” “we,” “us”) operates the Services described in our Terms of Use and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. This policy applies to information we collect through the Services and when you communicate with us. It does not apply to the practices of real estate professionals, brokerages or other businesses you contact through the Services: when you send an inquiry to a listing professional, that professional receives your information and handles it under their own privacy practices.
The Services are intended for adults in the United States. Words like “personal information” mean information that identifies, relates to or could reasonably be linked with a particular person or household.
3. Notice at collection: a summary
We collect the categories of personal information listed in the next section: identifiers and contact details; account and profile information; professional and license information; listing content; communications you send through the Services; commercial information about plans and purchases; internet activity on the Services; approximate location; and inferences about the places you are interested in. We collect them to provide and secure the Services, deliver your inquiries, support professionals, process payments, communicate with you and comply with law. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We keep each category only as long as described in the section on retention. Your rights and how to use them are described in the section on privacy rights.
4. Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Account information: your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), the type of account you choose, and your preferences. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, Google account identifier and profile picture as Google shares them.
- Buyer profile details you choose to add, such as the area you are searching, a budget range, a target move date and a profile photo.
- Professional information: your organization, role, business phone, website, service area and service ZIP codes, office address, specialties, biography, photo, license number, license type and licensing state, and information about sales you submit for your profile.
- Listing content professionals upload: property details, prices, descriptions, photographs, videos and tour links, floor plans, plat maps, surveys, documents, open house times and listing contact details.
- Communications through the Services: inquiries, tour requests, document requests and messages you send to professionals, including your name, email, phone number, message and any optional answers you provide; comments and notes in collections; reviews; and emails or requests you send to us.
- Saved properties, collections and the email addresses of people you invite to them, comparisons, saved searches, the professionals you follow, and alert and notification settings.
- Reports and moderation records: when you report a listing, review or conversation, the reason and details you give; your account or, if you are not signed in, any email address you choose to give and a keyed one-way code derived from your connection’s IP address (used only to stop duplicate and abusive reports); and a copy of what you reported as it was at that moment, kept encrypted. We also keep reports made about your account or listings, what we found, notices we send you, and account actions such as suspensions, bans and reinstatements, with the reason. If an account is banned, we keep a one-way coded form of its email address to stop it being used to sign up again until the ban is lifted. These records, and records of listings submitted, approved, returned or taken down and of profile photo decisions, are saved in our private cloud storage, and reports and account actions are emailed to our administrator with the record attached.
- Commute places you save: the label you choose and our map provider’s identifier for the place (not its address or coordinates), stored encrypted and visible only to you. Place searches and travel-time lookups go from your browser directly to our map provider, Mapbox.
- Payment information: when you buy a plan or feature, our payment processor Stripe collects your card or bank details and billing information. We receive and store a customer and subscription reference, your plan, payment and subscription status, and invoice records. We do not receive or store card numbers; Stripe shows you your saved payment method in its billing portal.
- Recorded statements: the exact confirmations you check or agree to when you sign up, confirm a professional profile, submit a listing, upload documents, post a review, buy or change a plan, extra listing slots or a boost, or let a listing team contact you with an inquiry or tour request, and each time you turn product news on or off, with their version, time and the account, organization and listing involved.
Information collected automatically:
- Device and connection information, such as browser type, device type, operating system, referring page and IP address. We use IP addresses to secure sign-ins, prevent abuse and estimate an approximate location (such as a city) for showing nearby properties; we store the IP address and browser associated with each sign-in session for security and delete them within 30 days after the session expires, and we use a keyed one-way hash of IP addresses, not the address itself, for rate limiting.
- Usage information about listings and professional profiles: when a listing appears in results and is opened, photo and gallery views, sections opened, document clicks, how far a listing page is scrolled, saves, shares, clicks on contact buttons and approximate time spent on the page, and views and clicks of sponsored professional profiles in the agent directory. This measurement is first-party (collected by Addresswell, not an advertising network), does not identify you, groups time on a listing with a random code made for each visit, and can be turned off; see Your Privacy Choices.
- Information from cookies and local storage, as described in the Cookie Policy, and security signals from Cloudflare Turnstile used to tell people from automated bots.
Information from other sources:
- Public licensing records that our administrators review to verify a professional’s license.
- Payment status, disputes and subscription events from Stripe.
- Information a professional or another user provides about you, for example when a collection owner invites you by email or a professional records a sale you were part of without naming you.
- Public datasets about places and properties (such as school locations, price indexes, mortgage rates and boundaries), which are not personal information.
Inferences: we may infer your general area of interest from your searches and saved properties to show relevant listings. We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing.
5. How we use information
- To provide and operate the Services: creating and securing accounts, showing listings and maps, saving your properties and searches, sharing collections, and enabling messages and tour requests.
- To deliver your inquiries, tour requests, document requests and messages to the professionals you contact, and their replies to you.
- To support professionals: publishing and reviewing listings and profiles, verifying licenses, managing workspaces and team invitations, and showing listing reports based on aggregated measurement.
- To process payments, manage subscriptions, trials, featured boosts and promotions, and keep billing and tax records.
- To send transactional messages (such as verification, password reset, receipts, trial reminders, invitations and security notices), alerts you turn on, and optional product news if you choose to receive it.
- To personalize the Services, such as showing properties near you or similar to ones you viewed.
- To protect the Services and our users: detecting and preventing fraud, spam, scraping, abuse and security incidents, enforcing our terms, and moderating content and reviews.
- To comply with law, respond to lawful requests and legal process, keep records of statements and transactions, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- To analyze, maintain and improve the Services, including through aggregated or de-identified information, which we maintain in de-identified form and do not attempt to re-identify except to test that it is de-identified.
- For any other purpose we describe when we collect the information or with your consent.
6. How we disclose information
We disclose personal information only as described here:
- To real estate professionals you contact. Your name, contact details and message go to the professional or organization responsible for the listing or profile you contact. Professionals also see aggregated, non-identifying listing measurements.
- To other users, as you direct. People you share a collection with see its contents and comments; reviews you post show your name as displayed on your account; professional profiles, listings, license details and recorded sales that professionals publish are public. When you report a listing, review or conversation, we do not tell the person or business you reported who made the report, unless the law or legal process requires it, someone’s safety requires it, or you agree.
- To service providers that process information for us under contracts that limit their use of it, including Cloudflare (hosting, content delivery, databases, file storage, image processing and bot checks), Stripe (payments and billing), Mapbox (maps), Resend (email delivery) and Google (optional sign-in). These providers may also process limited information as independent businesses under their own policies, for example to secure their services.
- For legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, regulation, subpoena, court order or other legal process; to respond to government requests where required; to protect the rights, property or safety of Addresswell, our users or the public; and to investigate fraud, security issues or violations of our terms.
- In a business transfer: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this policy or equivalent protections.
- With your consent or at your direction.
We do not sell personal information, we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined in state privacy laws, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
7. Information that is public
Professional profiles, listings and their photos and documents marked public, license details shown on profiles, recorded sales, and reviews are visible to anyone. Listings with an approximate location hide the street address and related details. Please consider this before posting.
9. Your choices
- Measurement: turn optional listing measurement off in this browser on Your Privacy Choices (/legal/choices). A Global Privacy Control signal turns it off automatically.
- Email: unsubscribe from product news and alerts using the link in any such email or in your account settings. Transactional emails continue while you have an account.
- Account information: review and update much of your information in your account or workspace settings.
- Collections and reviews: you can remove items, comments and collaborators from collections you own, and ask us to remove a review you wrote.
- Cookies: control cookies through your browser settings, as described in the Cookie Policy.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: know or access the personal information we have about you and how we use and disclose it; correct inaccurate information; delete information; receive a portable copy; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, and profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects; limit the use of sensitive personal information; and appeal a decision about your request. Whether or not a state law applies to us or to you, we will honor access, correction and deletion requests from any U.S. user, subject to the exceptions the law allows.
Because we do not sell or share personal information, do not engage in targeted advertising, and use sensitive personal information (such as account credentials and the contents of messages you send through the Services) only to provide the Services and for security, safety, fraud prevention and legal compliance as the law permits, there is no need to opt out of those activities, but you may still contact us with questions.
How to make a request. Email privacy@addresswell.co from the email address on your account, or write to us at P.O. Box 43, McLoud, OK 74851. Tell us what you are asking for. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need up to 45 more days and why.
Verification. To protect you, we verify requests by matching information you provide with information we hold, such as by asking you to confirm the request from your account’s email address. We may ask for more information for requests about sensitive information. If we cannot verify a request, we will tell you.
Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request. We will ask the agent for proof of your signed permission and may ask you to verify your identity directly.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing privacy@addresswell.co with the subject “Privacy appeal” within a reasonable time. We will respond to an appeal within the time the law requires (generally 45 to 60 days) and explain our decision. If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.
Exceptions. We may keep information when the law allows, for example to complete a transaction, maintain security, comply with legal obligations (such as tax and accounting records), keep records of statements you recorded, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
No discrimination. We will not deny you services, charge you different prices or provide a different quality of service because you exercised your privacy rights.
11. Additional information for California residents
In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, from the sources and for the purposes described above, and disclosed each category for business purposes to the recipients described in the section on disclosure:
- Identifiers, such as name, email address, phone number, account identifiers, IP address and browser identifier.
- Customer records described in California Civil Code section 1798.80(e), such as name, email address, phone number and, for professionals, office address and license number.
- Characteristics of protected classifications under California or federal law, only if you choose to provide them, such as an optional answer about military service in an inquiry.
- Commercial information, such as plans and features purchased, payment and subscription history, and properties saved or inquired about.
- Internet or other electronic network activity, such as listing views, searches and interactions with the Services.
- Approximate geolocation derived from IP address.
- Audio, electronic or visual information, such as profile photos and photographs uploaded with listings.
- Professional or employment-related information, such as real estate license details, brokerage, role and sales records.
- Inferences drawn from the information above, such as areas and property types of interest.
- Sensitive personal information: account log-in credentials, and the contents of messages you send through the Services to someone other than Addresswell, used only to provide the Services and for permitted security purposes.
Retention by category is described in the section on retention below. We do not sell or share personal information, including that of consumers under 16.
California’s “Shine the Light” law allows California residents to ask whether we disclosed personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not.
12. Additional information for residents of other states
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia, as those laws take effect) may exercise the rights described above as provided by their state’s law, including the right to appeal. Nevada residents may submit a request directing us not to sell covered information; we do not sell covered information.
13. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements, and then delete or de-identify it. For example:
- Recorded statements, purchase consents and listing submission receipts (such as accepted terms, listing statements, plan and add-on purchases, and permission for a listing team to contact you) are kept for as long as the related account, listing or subscription record exists, and in any case for at least three years after they are made or one year after the related account or subscription ends, whichever is longer, and for any longer period in which claims about them could be brought.
- Account and profile information is kept while your account is open and for a limited period after it closes, unless you ask us to delete it sooner and no exception applies.
- Inquiries, tour requests and messages are kept while the related accounts and listings exist, so both sides can refer to them, and then deleted or de-identified when no longer needed, unless they are part of a report, a dispute or a legal hold.
- Listing and profile measurements do not identify visitors. We keep them for as long as they are needed for professionals’ reports and to improve the Services.
- Billing, tax and transaction records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, generally up to seven years.
- Reports, notices, account actions and other moderation records, including the record files described above, are kept while the related accounts or listings exist and for at least five years afterward, and longer while a ban is in effect or where needed for a legal claim, investigation or legal hold. The coded email address of a banned account is kept until the ban is lifted.
- Sign-in security information is kept for a short time: rate-limiting entries for about a day, and the IP address and browser recorded with a sign-in session until 30 days after the session expires, unless needed to investigate an incident.
14. How we protect information
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest of selected private records such as inquiries and contact details, hashed passwords and invitation tokens, access controls limited to people who need access, and monitoring for abuse. Copies of reports and moderation records are kept in access-restricted cloud storage that is not publicly accessible, and are sent to our administrator by email. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and regulators as the law requires.
15. Children
The Services are not directed to children and are intended for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 or allow anyone under 18 to create an account. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact privacy@addresswell.co and we will delete it.
16. Where information is processed
Addresswell operates in the United States. Information is stored and processed primarily in the United States, and our service providers may process it in other countries where they operate, subject to safeguards. The Services are not intended for people outside the United States.
17. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting with no common standard, so we do not respond to it. We do honor the Global Privacy Control signal: when your browser sends it, optional measurement is turned off for that browser.
18. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date and, if the changes are material, notify you by email or on the Services before they take effect. If a change requires your consent under applicable law, we will ask for it.
